About Obsessed pickleballers
At Obsessed Pickleballers, we believe pickleball isn’t just a sport—it’s a pathway to staying active, building friendships, and rediscovering the joy of movement at any age. We’re here to help you play with confidence, learn with patience, and become part of a community that celebrates every improvement, no matter how small.
Our Story
Obsessed Pickleballers began with a simple observation and a powerful mission.
Mark Ianni had spent nearly a decade coaching players of all ages when he noticed something important: seniors were eager to improve but often lacked the right guidance, safe progressions, and supportive environment they deserved. Too many players were getting frustrated, injured, or giving up on a sport they loved.
What Makes Us Different
We exist for one reason: to help you improve faster, safer, and with more confidence than you ever thought possible.
Senior-Focused Expertise
We understand that bodies move differently at different stages of life. Our entire teaching system is built around joint-friendly mechanics, safe progressions, and movements that protect your body while improving your game.
Personalized Attention
Whether you join us for one-on-one coaching or attend one of our camps, you’ll receive individualized instruction tailored to your goals, your pace, and your body’s needs.
Nationwide Accessibility
Our camps bring professional-level coaching to cities across the country, so you don’t have to travel far to get expert instruction in a supportive group setting.
Our Values
Our Teaching Philosophy
This philosophy drives everything we do—from private coaching and national camps to every page of our books. Founded by head coach Mark Ianni, our approach is built on one simple idea: play smarter, not harder. Designed for the 50+ player, the focus is on smart shot selection, efficient movement, strong positioning, and high-percentage decisions—so you get better results with less strain and longer time on the court.

Equal Focus on Drilling & Play
We believe real improvement comes from balance. Every session is designed with an equal focus on purposeful drilling and live play, so you can immediately apply what you learn instead of just hearing about it.

Simple, Progression-Based Learning
Skills are taught step by step in a way that actually sticks. We move from fundamentals to advanced concepts at a pace that builds confidence naturally—no confusion, no overwhelm.

Camp Experience Like None Other
There's something magical about stepping onto the court at an Obsessed Pickleballers camp. Maybe it's the sound of paddles meeting balls at sunrise. Maybe it's the infectious energy of players who share your love for the game. Or maybe it's that moment when everything clicks—your technique, your confidence, your community—and you realize you've just leveled up in ways you never imagined.
Player Stories
Yeah. I’m Gene Justman out of, Denver, Colorado, and, good nuts and bolts program on, playing pickleball. I learned to get low.
I learned to hit the ball long and towards the back line. Great program.

Hi, I’m Debbie from Oklahoma. I really enjoyed today’s drill. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it exceeded my expectations. I got plenty of reps, learned many new aspects of the game, and added to my toolbox. It was a great experience.

Hi, I’m Linda. I’m from Iowa. I joined the camp today. It was great to touch on all different aspects. We’re able to drill enough that we got good at all the different aspects. So I’m ready to hit the courts.

“I really liked the variety of shots we were taught and the overall teaching philosophy. The rotation and game-based play were especially helpful because it allowed us to immediately apply what we were learning in real situations.”
